Aquarium - Whale TanksPeter has been involved with the Vancouver Aquarium since his graduation from Emily Carr in the early 1980’s. The Killer Whale pool is a startling example of our capacity to mimic the Gulf Island sandstone seen in the Malaspina Galleries On Gabriola and throughout the islands at large. Though the Killer Whales have been released, the pools still finction as porpoise and seal tanks due to their smaller size. Raincity recently completed a new feeding station for this tank. The Beluga Whale pool is still home to the belugas and features the more typical sandstone found throughout the Pacific Northwest.
